Outskirts Press Announces the Highly Anticipated Release of The Adventures of PJ and Split Pea Vol. III: In the Pink by S.D. Moore

April 12, 2017 – New York, NY and Las Vegas, NV – Outskirts Press—the fastest-growing full-service self-publishing and book marketing company—is pleased to announce the release of The Adventures of PJ and Split Pea Vol. III: In the Pink, the latest installment of the popular children’s series by S.D. Moore. The second volume of the series won the coveted Reader Views First Place Award.

Volume III: In the Pink features a boy named PJ and his pal Split Pea, a smart aleck parrot with a British accent. The day starts off well for little PJ as he and Split Pea race to his school to pay for a class trip to Super Duper Gyroland, PJ’s favorite place in the world. But things quickly go downhill  when they encounter Amy Delilah Dillard, who’s suffering with pink-eye. Even worse? PJ discovers a huge hole in his pocket, and his trip money is gone.

PJ and Split Pea join new friends, Pork Chop and Cheese. Together they come up with a wacky plan to borrow Checkers McGee’s pet pig for a makeshift fair to help PJ raise money for his trip to Super Duper Gyroland. It doesn’t take long before their crazy plan falls apart and the guys have to face Checkers McGee and an angry mob of pig kissers.

As PJ’s mom scolds him and Split Pea about misbehaving, she discovers that PJ has come down with the dreaded pink-eye—which means he cannot go to Super Duper Gyroland, but his sadness is eased when Amy Delilah Dillard shows up at his home with his lost wallet and the trip money. PJ admits that he learned his lesson, that honesty is the best policy, but drat that stink-eye!

In 1993, after a military tour of duty in the Middle East, author S.D. Moore had a stroke and lost nearly half the communication sector of her brain, leaving her unable to spell simple words like “very” and “the.” Today she’s the winner of the prestigious Reader Views First Place Award. “I cried when I received the notification,” she says. “I hope this inspires people to keep fighting to accomplish their dreams. It’s possible.”
